神様は、私たちが豊かな人生を歩むことを願っておられます。私たちが豊かな実を結ぶ人生を過ごすことを、夢見ておられます。

イエス様は、言われました。

「あなたがたがわたしを選んだのではない。わたしがあなたがたを選んだ。あなたがたが出かけて行って実を結び、その実が残るようにと、また、わたしの名によって父に願うものは何でも与えられるようにと、わたしがあなたがたを任命したのである。」（ヨハネ15：16）

「あなたがたが豊かに実を結び、わたしの弟子となるなら、それによって、わたしの父は栄光をお受けになる。」（ヨハネ15：8）

今日の聖書の箇所、マルコ4 章のたとえ話で、「種」が登場します。14節によると、この種は、「神の言葉」のことだということが分かります。私たちが実り多い人生を送らせるために、主が用いられるのは、「みことば」なんです。神の言葉は、悪い種でないことは、明らかです。この種は良いものです。ですから、芽が出て来ず、実を結ばないとしたら、種に問題があるのではない。その種が蒔かれた土地が悪いということなのです。

ここに出て来る「４種類の土地」は、「その言葉を聞く人の心の状態」のことです。「神の言葉を聞く心の状態」には、４種類あると言っています。まかれる種は同じです。けれども、「種を受け入れる土地の状態」によって、「結果」は驚くほど違ってくるのです。

では、「良い地」とは、どのような地なのでしょうか？どうすれば、「良い土地」をつくることができるのでしょうか？

“Secrets of an abundant, fruitful life”  

Mark 4:1-9, 13-20 (Call to Worship: Jeremiah 17:7-8)

God wants us to have abundant lives. His dream for us is that we will live abundant, fruitful lives.

Jesus said,

“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.” (John 15:16)

“This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” (John 15:8)

In today’s passage, parables in Mark chapter 4, we can find “seeds.” According to verse 14, we can see this seed is “the Word of God.” In order to live fruitful lives, God uses “the Word.” It is obvious that the Word of God is a good seed. So, if it doesn’t sprout and produce fruit, the problem is not with the seed, but with the soil in which the seed was sown.

The four kinds of soil here portray “the condition of the heart of those who listen to the word.” There are four kinds of heart conditions for those who hear God’s Word. The seeds sown are the same. But the result is determined by “the condition of the soil.”

Then what kind of soil is the good soil? What can we do to produce good soil?
