この世に対して抵抗できる最も強力な武器は、生きた証拠です。失われた魂を救い出してくださるキリストの力、人を造り変える聖霊の力によって変えられた、私たちの人生の単純な証しこそが、この世に有無を言わせない力を持っているのです。聖霊様は私たちの心からすべての恐れを締め出してくださり、勇気と大胆さで満たしてくださいます。
The most powerful
weapon against this world is the living witness. A simple testimony of our
lives changed by the power of Christ and the Holy Spirit has the power in an
assertive way. The Holy Spirit drives out all fear from our hearts and fills us
with courage and boldness.

アナニアは、バルナバが受けていた賞賛を手っ取り早く手に入れたいと思いました。それは、人からの賞賛、見栄、栄誉、自分自身の栄光でした。しかし本当は「きらびやかな自分」になろうとする必要はなかった。自分自身で輝こうとする必要はなかった。神様の前に、自分の不完全さと弱さを正直に謙虚に認めるときに、人は成長し、輝き始めることができるからです。
Ananias had coveted
the praise that Barnabas received. He wanted that recognition, that
acknowledgement, that praise, that honor, and his own glory! But he
didn't have to try to be a luminary. He didn't have to shine by his own
resource, because when we honestly and humbly admit our imperfection and
weaknesses before God, we can start to grow and glow.
